Cook / BBQ chef - Catering & Events

Functie

A hands-on cook for events & festivals responsible for the food and ingredients onsite. Operating a high-volume BBQ, committed to giving the best experience possible & understanding the Mission style of service. Spend peak seasons (from June- September) at festivals and low seasons at private caterings and/or at our Antwerp locations.

• Responsible for making sure the food and ingredients are stored well, working spaces are clean and kitchen safety standards are maintained.
• Collaborate with the rest of the team to ensure high-quality food and service.
• At festivals, top up food supplies and prepare for intense pace in peak moments.
• Operate BBQ and handle rice cookers, oven and hot plates.
• Setting up efficiently at smaller events & catering,
• Prepare food as per instructions and guidelines.
• Respect safety standards during the work.
• Ensure all FAVV & HACCP regulations are in place and followed. (From labelling, storing FIFO and logging reports)
• Anticipate potential problems that may arise & troubleshoot if necessary.

Jouw profiel

• Driving License B
• Knowledge or experience in foodhandling (regarding FAVV standards)
• Experience in events is a plus.

• Vlees, vis, groenten, ... koken of opwarmen
• De gerechten opmaken om op te dienen (presentatie, samenstelling, afwerking, ...)
• De werkpost en het keukengerei onderhouden en schoonmaken
• De ingrediënten doseren en mengen
• Bereidingen en producten verpakken en etiketteren (fabricatie- en houdbaarheidsdata)
  Ze opbergen in de koelruimte, de voorraadkamer, ...
• Een soort product bereiden: Vlees
• Een soort product bereiden: Vis, zeeproducten
• Het werkblad en het keukengerei klaarmaken
  Toestellen aanzetten (ovens, kookplaten, ...)
• Vlees en vis voorbereiden (schoonmaken, snijden, opbinden, omwikkelen, ...)
• Groenten en fruit wassen en schoonmaken
• De voorraad opvolgen, tekorten vaststellen
  Bestellingen plaatsen
• De goederen ontvangen en controleren
  De goederen opslaan in een koelkamer of voorraadkamer

Aanbod

• Start date: Immediate.
• Based in the region of Antwerp.
• Weekend and evening work is essential.
• Good Stamina to work long weekends away from home during peak festival season (June, July & August).
